Their spin also lacks venom with only Herath commanding some attention now that Mendis has ceased to be mystical. This is bound to backfire on pitches tailor-made for huge scores. Their fielding is above-par though.
Sri Lanka is a classic example of a flow team that flourishes when in flow and desiccates when things don’t turn right. History however ordains a fine performance from them as they reached the finals of 50-over World Cup both times they were held on their backyard.
